According to the semi-annual report recently released by China Mobile, in the first half of this year, China Mobile's operating revenue reached RMB 496.9 billion, keeping the double-digit growth at 12.0% year-on-year. Among others, communication service revenue reached RMB 426.4 billion, showing a year-on-year increase of 8.4%; revenue from product sales reached RMB 70.5 billion, showing a year-on-year increase of 39.8%.
Thanks to the rapid development of information service businesses such as digital content, smart home, 5G vertical industry solutions, and mobile cloud, the revenue of digital transformation reached RMB 110.8 billion, with a year-on-year growth of 39.2%, accounting for 26.0% of the communication service revenue. As the main drive of the company's revenue growth, the "second curve" has guided the expansion in the blue ocean of information services.
The company has also been continuously promoting low-cost and high-efficiency operations and taking multiple measures to increase revenue and reduce expenditure, which have achieved good results. Profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 70.3 billion, showing a year-on-year increase of 18.9%. Its profitability remains a leading level of world-class service providers.
