On September 30, the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) announced the appointment of Zhang Zhiyong as Secretary of the Party Committee of China Tower Corporation.
On the same day, China Tower Corporation announced the change of personnel of its board of directors, stating that Tong Jilu has, due to his advanced age, resigned as executive director, chairman of the board, chairman of the strategy committee of the board, and chairman of the nomination committee of the board, and has since stood down as authorized representative of the company under Article 3.05 of the Listing Rules, with effect from September 30, 2021.
Upon proposal of the nomination committee of the board, the board re-designated Zhang Zhiyong, a non-executive director, as executive director, and appointed him as chairman and authorized representative of the board, with effect from September 30, 2021. Besides, Zhang shall cease to be a member of the audit committee of the board, with effect from September 30, 2021. The board holds that Zhang's arrival as chairman will build on the current foundation to boost the company's growth.
