Yesterday, China Unicom released the main financial and operational data for the first quarter of 2020.
During the period, China Unicom’s overall service revenue was 68.307 billion yuan, rising 2.3% year-on-year. Among them, mobile service revenue was 37.749 billion yuan, declining 4.1% year-on-year; fixed-line broadband access revenue achieved a rebound and reached 10.785 billion yuan, up 34.4% from the same time last year; industrial Internet business revenue was 11.448 billion yuan, up 32.2% from the same time last year; the net profit was 3.166 billion yuan, down 13.9% year on year but up 110.1% from the fourth quarter of last year.
In the first quarter of 2020, China Unicom’s mobile billing users saw a net decrease of 7.47 million, reaching 311 million, of which 4G users reached 255 million. The ARPU for mobile billing users is 40.0 yuan. Mobile service revenue was 37.749 billion yuan, down 4.1% from the same time last year, and the decline was improved from -5.3% for the whole year of last year.
