AsiaInfo Technologies Limited announced late yesterday that China Mobile International Holdings Limited plans to subscribe for 182,259,893 new shares of AsiaInfo Technologies at HK $7.6 per share, taking 20% of the total issuance.
According to sources, China Mobile International Holdings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile Limited. Once the transaction completes, China Mobile will be the second largest shareholder of AsiaInfo Technologies.
AsiaInfo Technologies stressed its intention to deepen cooperation with telecom operators represented by China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom and players from relevant vertical industries to continue to provide products and service of higher quality for all industries.
