On June 27 at MWC Shanghai 2023, the 5G Development and Innovation Forum - hosted by IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group and 5G Applications Industry Array - was held successfully. IMT-2020 (5G) PG, together with other communication industry partners including representatives of Hong Kong communications industry, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile Internet, and Huawei, launched the initiative of “Co-creating and Sharing, Building 5G Ecological Prosperity”, which aims to boost 5G development and innovation and accelerate the commercialization of 5G-A technology in the Asia-Pacific region, assisting the Asia-Pacific digital economy to take off.
Industrial partners are all calling to integrate industrial resources to exert force in four key fronts: first, to take the leading role of policies to strengthen the support for resource factors, so as to create a sound environment for 5G industry development, ecological construction, and application innovation; second, to complete the standard system for 5G convergence, and further study cross-field 5G-A standardization collaboration; third, to build a high-quality 5G network and strengthen the foundation for the development of 5G industry; fourth, to intensify international cooperation, so as to build an international 5G ecological community shared by all.
