China Unicom recently announced its operational data for August 2024. The company saw a net increase of 12.721 million "Big Connectivity" users, bringing the total to 1.090524 billion users. The number of 5G package users saw a net increase of 3.492 million, reaching a total of 282.524 million users. The net increase in IoT terminal connections was 10.132 million, bringing the total to 582.906 million connections.
In the same month, China Unicom's number of 5G industry virtual private network service customers saw a net increase of 765, reaching 13,534 customers. The resolution rate of customer issues by smart customer service was 98.6%, with intelligent services accounting for 84.2%. The company has been granted 1,142 patents so far this year.
