Cellular IoT Terminal Users in China First Exceed Mobile Phone Users

According to the data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the number of cellular IoT users has first exceeded the number of mobile phone users; IPTV users are increasing steadily. At the end of August, the three major telecommunications companies developed 1.698 billion cellular IoT terminal users, showing a net increase of 300 million over the end of the previous year. For the first time, the number of cellular IoT terminal users representing "things" in mobile network connection terminals has exceeded the number of mobile phone users representing "people", accounting for 50.3%. The total number of IPTV users reached 370 million, showing a net increase of 21.9 million over the end of the previous year.
