Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China released the Economic Operation of China’s Telecommunications Industry from January to May 2022, which showed China’s telecommunications industry has generated a revenue of 665 billion yuan from January to May, witnessing a YoY increase of 8.5%.
Viewing from the perspective of users, China’s three main telecommunications operators have seen a stable increase in mobile phone users, with 5G users accounting for over 1/4. As of the end of May, the total users of three basic telecommunications operators have reached 1.66 billion, with a net growth of 19.66 million compared with the end of last year. Among the users, 428 million are 5G users, with a net growth of 73.34 million compared with the end of last year. It accounts for 25.8% of the total mobile phone users, up 4.2 percentage points compared with the end of last year.
