Recently, some medias inquired about or forwarded a document that was suspected to be issued by the Bureau of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce. The document shows that certain products of SMIC and its subsidiaries and joint ventures will be subject to export restrictions.
In response, SMIC issued an announcement stating that as of the disclosure of this announcement, SMIC has not received such official news. We must reiterate that SMIC only provides products and services for end users for civil and commercial use. There is no connection between SMIC and Chinese minitary and we have never provide any products or services for minitary use.
