Lately MIIT adjusted the planning on the use of 800MHz frequency band (806-821/851-866MHz) for digital trunking communication systems.
On the ground of reserving the former TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) mechanism, it is clarified that PDT (Professional Digital Trunking) mechanism is also available for 800MHz frequency band in the adjustment. This move is expected to further enhance efficiency and benefit of use of frequency.
To sum up, both TETRA and PDT will be 800MHz digital trunking communication mechanisms and channel bandwidths in such two channels will be 25kHz and 12.5kHz accordingly; it needs to be noted that digital trunking communication systems in the 800MHz frequency band shall be arranged in the trunking networking model; in addition, digital trunking communication systems in the 800MHz frequency band shall occupy 70% of the frequency band in the minimum.
