On December 27th, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) released its analysis report on the operation of the domestic mobile phone market in November 2023.
The data shows that in November 2023, the domestic market saw a shipment of 31.211 million mobile phones, a year-on-year increase of 34.3%. Among them, 27.092 million units were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year growth of 51.2%, accounting for 86.8% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period.
There were 30 new models of mobile phones launched in the domestic market, a year-on-year decrease of 30.2%. Among them, 19 models were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 26.9%, accounting for 63.3% of the total number of new mobile phone models launched during the same period.
From January to November, the cumulative total shipment of mobile phones in the domestic market reached 261 million units, a year-on-year increase of 7.1%. Among them, the shipment of 5G mobile phones was 215 million units, a year-on-year increase of 12.9%, accounting for 82.5% of the total mobile phone shipments during the same period.
The cumulative total of newly launched mobile phone models reached 415, a year-on-year increase of 68.9%. Among them, 203 models were 5G mobile phones, a year-on-year decrease of 0.5%, accounting for 48.9% of the total number of new mobile phone models launched during the same period.
