According to an insider, two semiconductor companies in mainland China have poached hundreds of senior engineers and managers from TSMC to assist in developing 14nm and 12nm processes since last year.
As reported by Taiwan media, TSMC responded that their annual staff turnover was kept below 5% and they would continue the effort to retain and train talent, and provide competitive work conditions.
In other words, TSMC did not deny the fact that their employees were poached by enterprises in mainland China.
By report, the two semiconductor companies poaching employees from TSMC are QXIC and HSMC, which offer over twice more salaries to these employees.
