Yesterday, Zhu Yannan, the Director of Radio, TV and Film Development Research Center under the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) announced and interpreted the Report on the Development of New Audio-Visual Media in China (2020). The report indicated that, by March 2020, the online video (including short videos) user base has reached 850 million, up by 126 million since the end of 2018 and accounts for 94.1% of the total netizens.
In April this year, CNNIC announced the 45th report of internet development in China that by March 2020, the number of netizens in China has reached 904 million.
