ZTE's Computing Revenue Surges 150% Year-on-Year

Updated:2026/3/9 16:18

On March 6, ZTE released its 2025 annual report. The report shows that the company achieved a revenue of 133.896 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 10.38%, hitting a record high; net profit reached 5.618 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 33.32%, reflecting pressure during the transition between old and new growth drivers in the industry; R&D expenses amounted to 22.755 billion yuan, accounting for 16.99% of the total revenue.

Amid the continuous reduction in capital expenditure within the telecommunications industry, ZTE has returned to a growth trajectory in revenue, primarily driven by its emerging computing business. ZTE's computing business experienced leapfrog growth in 2025, with annual revenue increasing by approximately 150% year-on-year, now accounting for 24.6% of the company's total revenue. Among its segments, revenue from servers and storage grew by over 200% year-on-year, while revenue from data center products increased by 50% year-on-year.

The fundamental driver behind this growth is ZTE's strategic embrace of AI and its practical implementation. From the annual report and the recently concluded MWC 2026, it is evident that ZTE, on one hand, is deeply integrating AI technologies and application scenarios into its traditional products and solutions, continuously innovating across its three major business segments: operators, government and enterprise, and consumers. On the other hand, the company is heavily investing in full-stack AI technologies to cultivate new growth drivers and position itself for the future.
