CAICT data show that China shipped 23,334,000 smartphones on market in September 2020, down 35.6% on a Y-o-Y basis; in the first nine months of 2020, China shipped 226 million smartphones on market, 21.5% lower than it did a year earlier.
In September 2020, China's 5G smartphone shipments totaled 13,990,000, accounting for 60.0% of total smartphone shipments on domestic market in the corresponding period which observed the fourth month of 60%+ percentage; there were 26 new 5G smartphone models, accounting for 44.8% of total new smartphone arrivals on market. In the first nine months of 2020, 5G smartphone shipments involving 167 new arrivals on domestic market totaled 108 million, accounting for 47.7%and 46.5% respectively.
