It is said on internet that Samsung Electronics China will lay off at least 1/3 employees. Eleven branch companies and offices across the country will restructured into five and the restructuring will mainly involve with sales and marketing divisions.
Closing down the last mobile phone plant in Huizhou, China in September of this year, Samsung has basically stopped all its production of mobile phones in China.
Compensation agreement of Huizhou Samsung Plant disclosed by a netizen days ago showed that Samsung is quite conscientious and generous. It is anticipated that sales and marketing divisions will give preferential treatment to senior employees despite of the layoff.
