Recently, Hubei Mobile announced the official commercial launch of point-to-point 5G messaging. "After the initial trial phase, our company's personal point-to-point 5G messaging will officially transition to commercial use starting September 10, 2024."
The following standard for communication service fees has been clarified: point-to-point 5G messages will be charged at 0.1 yuan per message sent, receiving messages will be free, and messages can be included in the personal customer's SMS package. Any usage beyond the package will be charged at the standard out-of-package SMS rate.
It is reported that point-to-point 5G messaging supports various media formats, including text, images, audio, video, emojis, location, and contacts. It supports both online and offline messages and can provide users with message status reports and message history management.
