June 25 marked the inception of an open bidding for centralized procurement of main devices for the 5G 700M wireless network project. Later on July 18, China Mobile delivered the list of 5 successful bidders for the project on its website for procurement and bidding, including Huawei and ZTE. Huawei is the biggest winner, accounting for 60% of the total, followed by ZTE (31%), Nokia (4%), DTmobile (3%) and Ericsson (2%).
Relevant bidding prices and particulars are shown in the following table. Upon the end of the centralized procurement, 480,000 700M base stations will be duly put into construction.
