Homemade Chips Represent 88.7% in China Telecom's 2021 Server Procurement Project

On March 19, China Telecom delivered bidding results for GPU servers-Intel and AMD series and server G series (homemade series) in the firm's group purchasing project. Successful bidders are including Huawei, H3C, Inspur, Sugon, etc. The number of Homemade Chips reached 24,800£¬accounting for 88.7% of the total servers disclosed.

The bid is one of the three packages following the "bid for goods" in the "China Telecom (2020) Centralized Procurement Project" disclosed on September 27, 2020. For Intel series, a total of 2,767 servers worth CNY 494 million will be involved; for AMD series, 398 servers worth CNY 12.65 million will be involved; 24,823 Kunpeng and Higon servers will be involved, with the value of CNY 635 million and CNY 519 million respectively. As announced earlier, this group purchasing project falls into eight packages. In this bid, Package 8 is 100% concerned with homemade CPU servers, representing roughly 35% of the firm's server procurement project.
