According to the "5G Cloud Platform Monitoring Report for 2022Q1" recently released by CAICT, the 5G network in Hainan Province and Haikou City ranked among the top in the country in multiple indicators of user experience. By the end of March 2022, Hainan had built and launched nearly 13,000 5G base stations, with 5G signals covering over 90% of towns and townships and extending to more than 1,000 administrative villages.
As suggested by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Hainan has more than 12 5G base stations per 10,000 people, higher than the national average and ranking eighth in the country. Moreover, under the principle of "promoting construction with application and driving application with the construction", Hainan has constantly promoted the application and innovation of 5G in key industries such as healthcare, energy, cultural tourism and government affairs, and has proactively planned and developed a number of 5G application projects with Hainan characteristics.
