The three major telecom operators have all released their operational data for February 2024. According to rough calculations, the number of 5G plan subscribers among the three major operators has exceeded 1.39 billion households. Among them, China Mobile's 5G plan subscriber count has surpassed 800 million households for the first time.
Looking at the mobile user data, China Mobile lost a net of 510,000 subscribers in that month, while China Telecom gained a net of 690,000 subscribers. China Unicom, due to its use of different statistical methods, cannot provide precise data for comparison.
In terms of 5G plan subscriber data, China Mobile added a net of 11.27 million subscribers in that month, with a 5G plan penetration rate of 80.8%. China Telecom added a net of 2.32 million subscribers, with a 5G plan penetration rate of approximately 79.1%. China Unicom added a net of 1.817 million subscribers.
Looking at fixed broadband user data, China Mobile added a net of 1.514 million households in that month, China Telecom added a net of 190,000 households. China Unicom, due to its use of different statistical methods, cannot provide precise data for comparison.
