On February 28th, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released an analysis report on the domestic smartphone market operation in January 2024.
According to the report, the domestic market shipped 31.778 million smartphones in January 2024, a year-on-year increase of 68.1%. Among them, 26.165 million were 5G smartphones, a year-on-year increase of 59.0%, accounting for 82.3% of the total smartphone shipments during the same period.
There were 29 new models of smartphones launched in the domestic market, a year-on-year increase of 123.1%. Among them, there were 9 5G smartphones, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%, accounting for 31.0% of the total number of new smartphone models launched during the same period.
The shipment of domestic brand smartphones reached 26.236 million units, a year-on-year increase of 165.2%, accounting for 82.6% of the total smartphone shipments during the same period. There were 26 new models launched, a year-on-year increase of 116.7%, accounting for 89.7% of the total number of new smartphone models launched during the same period.
