On June 29, MediaTek released the 5G open architecture of Dimensity, which provides terminal manufacturers with higher flexibility in customizing the differentiated functions of high-end 5G mobile devices to meet the demands of various market segments.
Based on the Dimensity 1200 mobile platform, the open architecture provides open resources closer to the bottom layer, and aims to provide customized solutions for cameras, displays, graphics and AI processing units, as well as sensors and wireless connectivity subsystems.
According to MediaTek's estimates, terminal equipment based on Dimensity 5G open architecture custom chips will be launched on the market in July this year.
