The Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operational performance of the telecommunications industry for the first 11 months of 2025. During this period, telecommunications business revenue totaled 1.6096 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.9%. Calculated at constant prices from the previous year, the total telecommunications business volume grew by 9.1% year-on-year.
By the end of November, the total number of fixed internet broadband access users of the three major telecom operators reached 697 million, a net increase of 27.12 million from the end of last year. Among them, fixed internet broadband access users with speeds of 100Mbps and above reached 664 million, accounting for 95.2% of the total. Users with speeds of 1000Mbps and above reached 239 million, a net increase of 32.52 million from the end of last year, accounting for 34.3% of the total, an increase of 3.4 percentage points from the end of last year.
By the end of November, the total number of mobile phone users of the three major telecom operators and China Broadcasting Network reached 1.828 billion, a net increase of 38.54 million from the end of last year. Among them, 5G mobile phone users reached 1.193 billion, a net increase of 179 million from the end of last year, accounting for 65.3% of all mobile phone users.
By the end of November, the three major telecom operators had developed 2.9 billion mobile Internet of Things (IoT) terminal users, a net increase of 244 million from the end of last year. Internet TV (IPTV, OTT) users reached 415 million, a net increase of 7.494 million from the end of last year.
