Among them, 17.736 million units were 5G smartphones, showing a growth of 2.3% compared to the previous year and accounting for 83.0% of the total shipments during that period. There were 47 new models launched in the domestic smartphone market, which represented a decrease of 2.1% compared to the same period last year. Among these, 23 were 5G smartphones, registering a growth of 15.0% compared to the previous year and accounting for 48.9% of the total number of newly launched models during that period. Domestic brand smartphones recorded shipments of 17.633 million units, which marked a year-on-year decrease of 8.5%, and accounted for 82.5% of the total shipments during that period. There were 43 newly launched models, showing a year-on-year decrease of 4.4% and accounting for 91.5% of the total number of newly launched models during that period.
From January to March 2024, the domestic market shipped 67.415 million smartphones, experiencing a year-on-year growth of 7.4%. Among them, 56.433 million units were 5G smartphones, showing a growth of 9.6% compared to the previous year and accounting for 83.7% of the total shipments during that period. There were 97 newly launched models in the domestic smartphone market, experiencing a year-on-year growth of 9.0%. Among these, 49 were 5G smartphones, showing a growth of 28.9% compared to the previous year and accounting for 50.5% of the total number of newly launched models during that period. Domestic brand smartphones recorded shipments of 55.711 million units, experiencing a year-on-year growth of 19.3%, and accounting for 82.6% of the total shipments during that period. There were 88 newly launched models, showing a year-on-year growth of 6.0% and accounting for 90.7% of the total number of newly launched models during that period.
