According to data from CAICT, overall domestic mobile phone shipments in China reached 41.728 million units in April 2020, an increase of 14.2% over the same period last year. Among them, the domestic market shipped 16.382 million 5G mobile phones in the same month, accounting for 39.3% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
22 new models of 5G mobile phones were released in April, accounting for 45.8% of the total number of new models on the market in the same period. From January to April, the domestic market shipped a total of 30.441 million 5G mobile phones and 65 new models on the market, accounting for 33.6% and 43.4% respectively.
In the same month, domestic brand mobile phone shipments reach 37.982 million units, an increase of 11.9% over the same period last year, accounting for 91.0% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
