According to the latest IC Insights report, Huawei’s HiSilicon became the first China-based semiconductor supplier to be ranked in the worldwide top-10 listing.
The report says that HiSilicon’s sales surged 54% year-over-year to about $2.67 billion in 1Q20, enabling it to make the list for the first time. However it is also mentioned that 90% of HiSilicon’s sales go to its parent company Huawei.
“…HiSilicon jumped up five spots in the ranking to 10th place, making it the first China-based semiconductor supplier to be ranked in the worldwide top-10 listing,” says the IC Insights report.
