Recently, China Broadcasting Network has initiated the 2025 USIM card bidding project. The project bidder is China Broadcasting Network Mobile Network Co., Ltd., and the project funds are self-raised and have been secured.
The procurement for this project includes six types of USIM cards for 2025: 5G Standard Regular USIM Card, Consumer-grade Pluggable IoT Card, Consumer-grade Embedded IoT Card, Industrial-grade Pluggable IoT Card (Epoxy Resin), Industrial-grade Pluggable IoT Card (Industrial Plastic), and Industrial-grade Embedded IoT Card, with a total procurement volume of 69,900,000 units.
The project sets a maximum bid price limit: 5G Standard Regular USIM Card at a maximum of 1.00 yuan per card (including tax), Consumer-grade Pluggable IoT Card at a maximum of 1.00 yuan per card (including tax), Consumer-grade Embedded IoT Card at a maximum of 1.00 yuan per card (including tax), Industrial-grade Pluggable IoT Card (Epoxy Resin) at a maximum of 4.10 yuan per card (including tax), Industrial-grade Pluggable IoT Card (Industrial Plastic) at a maximum of 3.20 yuan per card (including tax), and Industrial-grade Embedded IoT Card at a maximum of 1.40 yuan per card (including tax). Any bid exceeding these maximum prices will be rejected.
The project will have four winning bidders, with the shares allocated at 31%, 27%, 23%, and 19%.
It is understood that compared to last year, this procurement volume has increased by 4.1 million units. Except for the Industrial-grade Pluggable IoT Card, last year's bid prices were generally higher than this year's limits. For example, the lowest bid for the 5G Standard Regular USIM Card last year among the five winning candidates ranged from 1.58 yuan to 1.65 yuan.
