China Telecom recently issued an announcement stating that on July 12, 2024, the company held the 11th meeting of the 8th Board of Directors, during which the proposal to appoint the company's President and Chief Operating Officer and to add a new director to the Board was reviewed and approved. Upon review and approval by the Board's Nomination Committee, Mr. Liang Baojun was appointed as the company's President and Chief Operating Officer, with a term effective from the date of this Board meeting's approval until the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in 2026.
Nominated by the controlling shareholder, China Telecommunications Corporation, and approved by the Board's Nomination Committee, the Board agreed to nominate Mr. Liang Baojun as a director candidate, and the proposal will be submitted to the shareholders' meeting for review. His term will commence upon approval by the shareholders' meeting and will last until the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held in 2026.
