According to the MIIT data, the 3 major telecommunication operators in China recorded a rapid increase in C-IoT users and a steadily growing number of IPTV users in the first 8 months of this year.
Specifically, as of the end of August, the 3 operators have developed 1.33 billion C-IoT end users, a net increase of 190 million from the end of the previous year. Intelligent manufacturing, smart transportation, and smart public utilities accounted for 17.6%, 16.8%, and 22.4%, respectively, of these users, and end users in smart public utilities increased by 24.6% YoY, the most prominent for any type of users. The total number of IPTV users reached 340 million, a net increase of 24.69 million from the end of the previous year.
