According to the Monitoring Report on Domestic Cell Phone Product Interaction Carrier Characteristics (vol. 3 2022) released by CAICT, 100% of the 5G cell phones launched in China in Q3 of 2022 have rear camera(s) and front camera(s); 87.0% of the 4G cell phones have rear camera(s) while 80.9% have front camera(s).
To satisfy the demand for more details when shooting in different scenarios, cell phones need more than one rear camera for coordinated imaging. The combinations mainly involve the main camera, depth of field, black and white, wide angle, telephoto, and 3D cameras. Different cameras are called according to the algorithms and scene settings when taking a picture.
CAICT statistics reveal that 59.6% of the cell phones launched in China in Q3 of 2022 have 2 or more rear cameras; 37.0% of the 4G cell phone models have 2 or more rear cameras while 95.4% of the 5G cell phone models have 2 or more rear cameras.
