According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, by the end of April, the total number of mobile phone users of the three major operators had reached 1.59 billion, which generally remained unchanged year-on-year. Specifically, there were 1.273 billion 4G users, accounting for 80% of the total users, a proportion that fell by 0.2% from the end of March, indicating accelerated migration of 4G users to 5G.
By the end of April, the total number of ADSL users of the three major operators had reached 459 million, a year-on-year increase of 7.6% and a net increase of 9.26 million from the end of the previous year; and the number of CIoT end users had reached 1.091 billion, an increase of 46.6% and a net increase of 63.7 million from the end of the previous year.
