On December 25, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the "Analysis Report on the Domestic Mobile Phone Market Performance in November 2025." The report indicates that in November, domestic mobile phone shipments totaled 30.161 million units, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.9%. Among these, 5G phone shipments amounted to 27.614 million units, up 1.1% year-on-year, accounting for 91.6% of total mobile phone shipments during the same period. From January to November, domestic mobile phone shipments reached 282 million units, marking a year-on-year growth of 0.9%. Within this figure, 5G phone shipments stood at 244 million units, increasing by 1.3% year-on-year and making up 86.6% of total mobile phone shipments during the same period.
In November, 31 new mobile phone models were launched in the domestic market, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 27.9%. Among these, 24 were 5G phone models, which saw a year-on-year increase of 26.3%, accounting for 77.4% of the total new models launched during the same period. From January to November, 474 new mobile phone models were introduced in the domestic market, up 14.5% year-on-year. Of these, 223 were 5G phone models, maintaining parity with the same period last year and constituting 47.0% of the total new models launched during the same timeframe.
In November, shipments of domestic brand mobile phones reached 23.228 million units, down 12.6% year-on-year, representing 77.7% of total mobile phone shipments during the same period. Domestic brands launched 30 new models, a decrease of 26.8% year-on-year, accounting for 96.8% of the total new models introduced in the same period. From January to November, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 241 million units, up 1.2% year-on-year, making up 85.4% of total mobile phone shipments during the same period. Domestic brands launched 451 new models, an increase of 15.6% year-on-year, accounting for 95.1% of the total new models introduced during the same period.
