On December 24, the 2025 Computing Power Internet Conference was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. During the event, the first "Hong Kong Data, Guangdong Computing" data express line was jointly launched by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Mobile Hong Kong Company, and China Mobile Cloud Capability Center, among other organizations.
In recent years, with the implementation and advancement of China’s "integrated computing power system" and "computing power internet" strategies, the demand for large-capacity data transmission over wide area networks (WANs) has become increasingly urgent. However, WAN data transmission faces challenges such as massive data volumes, long response times, slow actual transmission speeds, and low cost-effectiveness, which significantly hinder task execution efficiency.
The newly launched "Hong Kong Data, Guangdong Computing" Greater Bay Area Data Express Project capitalizes on the trend of integrated development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the surging demand for AI computing power in Hong Kong. By leveraging the advantages of the mainland’s computing power ecosystem and the network resources of the Greater Bay Area, the project innovatively offers diversified computing power network products, task-based services, and solutions.
