The Operation Monitoring and Coordination Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the operational performance of the telecommunications industry for the first 11 months of 2025. By the end of November, the total number of internet broadband access ports nationwide reached 1.25 billion, marking a net increase of 48.11 million since the end of the previous year. Among these, fiber optic access (FTTH/O) ports reached 1.21 billion, a net increase of 49.42 million compared to the end of last year, accounting for 96.8% of all internet broadband access ports. Additionally, the number of 10G PON ports capable of providing gigabit network services reached 31.34 million by the end of November, reflecting a net increase of 3.133 million since the end of the previous year.
By the end of November, the total number of 5G base stations in China reached 4.83 million, with a net increase of 579,000 since the end of the previous year. These 5G base stations now account for 37.4% of the total mobile base stations, representing a 0.4 percentage point increase compared to the figure recorded in the first 10 months.
