Domestic High-end Mobile Phone Brands Are Forming in China

On January 2, D.PHONE released the Annual Report on Consumer Mobile Phone Usage and Device Retail Sales 2017 (hereinafter referred to as "the report"), which shows that customers are willing to buy more expensive devices when changing their mobile phones in the future.

According to the report, mobile phones of 1000-3000 yuan level accounts for 63.8% of the existing mobile phones; on the most-willing-to-buy mobile phones in the future, the proportion of 1001-2000 yuan level mobile phones shrinks, while mobile phones of 2001-4000 yuan level reaches 61.7%.

At the same time, most customers will consider the current brand when buying a new one. For example, 73.1% Huawei mobile phone users will still choose Huawei when buying a new device, 52.1% OPPO users will still choose OPPO mobile phones, in Vivo, Xiaomi, Huawei Honor, GIONEE, Samsung and iPhone, the proportion is 54.1%, 28.0%, 20.9%, 55.6% 47.9 and 55.2%, respectively.

The report also points out that brand loyalty has gradually formed, especially Huawei, OPPO, vivo, GIONEE and iPhone, which have attracted many fans.

In mobile phone replacement, 70.1% users will buy new ones within one or two years, male customers are more willing to change their devices in a shorter period of time.
