China Tower (00788.HK) officially issued its semiannual reports as of June 30th, 2018.
During the first half year, China Tower achieved operating income of CNY35.335 billion , with a year-on-year increase of 6.2%; while operating profit was CNY4.76 billion and net profit was CNY1.210 billion, with a year-on-year growth rate of 15.9% and 8.0% respectively; the basic and diluted earnings per share was CNY0.0094; no dividends.
Among them, revenue from the tower business and indoor distribution business were CNY34.064 billion and CNY824 million respectively, with year-on-year growth rate of 3.8% and 94.3%; revenue from cross-industry site application and information business ("cross-industry business") was CNY22 million in the first half of 2017, and increased to CNY374 million in the same period of 2018. It is worth noting that during that period, EBITDA reached CNY20.907 billion, and the EBITDA rate increased from 58.8% in 2017 to 59.2%, and profitability continued to be strengthened.
By the end of June 2018, the number of sites managed by China Tower went up to 1.898 million, and the total number of tenants reached 2.785 million. The average number of tenants per site increased from 1.44 at the end of 2017 to 1.47, and the site sharing level continued to increase.
