Recently, the 30th China Digital Broadcast Television and Network Development Annual Conference and the 25th International Radio and Television Technical Symposium (CCNS & ISBT 2022) have been held in Hefei. Zeng Qingjun, deputy general manager of CBN, said at the conference that the construction of 700MHz base stations nationwide is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. And urban areas above prefecture level and top 100 counties are projected to have in-depth continuous coverage, high uplink edge rate and wide coverage of VoNR. High uplink edge rate and wide coverage of VoNR will materialize in other counties and towns.
On the back of a high-standard 5G network, CBN concentrates on establishing a new service system with four basic services and three core services, continuously promoting basic services and bolstering its differentiated competitiveness. Focusing on industry characteristics and advantages and positioning the new 5G network for national cultural communication, CBN has launched 5G NR broadcasting, a national emergency broadcasting network and other special services.
