According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, China has organized 6G technology trials for four consecutive years and has now completed the first phase, accumulating over 300 key technology reserves.
6G represents the most important new-generation comprehensive digital information network infrastructure globally over the next decade. It will integrate innovations in communication, sensing, computation, and artificial intelligence, extending its service targets from humans, machines, and objects to intelligent agents, and expanding its service space from terrestrial to integrated ground-air-space, achieving the vision of "intelligent connectivity of all things and digital twins."
China's 6G technology trials are divided into three phases: the first phase focuses on key technology trials to identify major 6G technical directions; the second phase involves technical solution trials, developing 6G prototype test systems for typical scenarios and performance indicators; and the third phase consists of system networking trials, developing pre-commercial 6G equipment and conducting tests on key 6G products.
