According to the economic performance of telecommunication industry in the first three quarters of 2021 released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the business income of telecommunication in China grew steadily in the first three quarters, accumulatively reaching 1.1084 trillion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 8.4%.
The data of three basic telecommunication enterprises and their Internet business income saw a steady increase in the first three quarters. However, the proportion of voice business shrank constantly, with the business income of fixed voice and mobile voice declining 7.4% and 5.9% year on year respectively. Meanwhile, the income of emerging businesses such as IPTV, Internet data center, big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence etc. sped up their growth, with a year-on-year increase of 28.8% in the first three quarters.
