On May 18, Huawei announced several personnel changes internally. Zhang Pingan is appointed as CEO of Huawei Cloud in place of Yu Chengdong, who is still CEO of the Consumer BG and new CEO of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU, and Wang Jun serves as president of the Intelligent Automotive Solution BU.
Huawei Cloud has been adjusted several times this year. The latest was that Xu Zhijun, rotating president of Huawei, and Yu Chengdong, CEO of the Huawei Consumer BG, were appointed as president and CEO of Huawei Cloud respectively on April 9, 2021.
The Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solution BU was founded on May 27, 2019. Recently, Huawei has been making moves in automotive business, such as creating an automobile sub-brand jointly with BAIC, Chang’an Auto and GAC by means of “Huawei Inside” and announcing the sale of automobiles in flagship stores of Huawei. In Eco2021 on May 17, Xu Zhijun said that intelligent automotive business is the most complete BU except for consumer business in Huawei now.
