Three Major Operators Filed for NYSE Reconsideration of Delisting Decision

Updated:2021/1/22 10:21

Whereas delisting China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom from NYSE is being pushed forward anew, the three major operators lately responded.

The three major operators each forwarded a written request to the NYSE on Jan. 20, 2021 (American EST), demanding the NYSE Board Advisory Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) reconsider the delisting decision, so as to protect legitimate rights and interests of the firms and shareholders therein.

Subject to NYSE's Listed Company Manual, the reconsideration will be scheduled at least 25 business days after the submission of the request for reconsideration. Earlier the three major operators  had asked the Council for withdrawing the decision and suspending ADS transactions during the reconsideration.

The three major operators claimed they had been abided by local laws and regulations, as well as market rules and regulatory requirements and made operation by law and with compliance where they went public. They will continue to keep an eye on the development of relevant matters and consider resorting to different solutions and professional proposals so as to protect legitimate rights and interests of the firms and shareholders therein.
