After nine months of vacancy, China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd. finally ushered in its new general manager.
On the morning of January 18, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee announced the decision to adjust and supplement the general manager of China Unicom: Chen Zhongyue was appointed as the company’s Director, General Manager, and Deputy Party Secretary, and his previous positions as Deputy General Manager and member of leading Party group of China Telecom were removed.
Chen Zhongyue, born in June 1971, started working in July 1990, member of the Communist Party of China, Senior Engineer, master’s degree. He graduated from the Shanghai School of Posts and Telecommunications with a major in International Post and Telecommunications Business in 1990, was granted a master's degree in Economics from Zhejiang University in 1998, and a master's degree for senior executives in Business Administration from Xiamen University in 2011. His previous positions: Deputy General Manager and Party Leadership Group Member of China Telecom Zhejiang Branch; General Manager of China Telecom Public Customer Division; General Manager and Party Leadership Group Secretary of China Telecom Shanxi Branch; Deputy General Manager and Party Leadership Group Member of China Telecom Group Co., Ltd. He is currently serving as the Director, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd.
