Meanwhile, HarmonyOS will officially open source, and developers will be allowed to acquire SDK, documents, IDE tools and simulators. At the end of 2020, the Beta version for smart phones will be released to domestic developers first.
Yu Chengdong indicated that Huawei has decided to donate the code of OpenHarmony to the OpenAtom Foundation. According to the roadmap, from September 10, HarmonyOS open source will be available for 128KB-128MB terminal devices such as large screens, watches, and auto PCs. In April 2021, it will be open sourced for terminal devices with 128MB-4GB memory. After October 2021, the open source will be available for all devices above 4GB.
