At the conference on financial report of the second quarter held yesterday, Liu Deyin, chairman of TSMC, officially responded to issues related to Huawei.
Liu Deyin said that TSMC will comply with all the regulations and will not accept new orders from HUAWEI since May 15. Although the comment period for this provision has just expired, the US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has not make adjustement for the final decision.
“It is premature to confirm the decision£¬but view from the current situation£¬TSMC will not ship wafers to HUAWEI after September 14.”
