Beijing Communications Administration recently announced that "new achievements" have been achieved in Beijing's 5G infrastructure construction. So far, 26,000 5G base stations have been opened in Beijing, including 8,400 base stations shared by China Unicom and China Telecom, serving 800,000 5G users. In addition, to further implement the sharing, the Beijing municipal government clearly requires that the planning and design of all new metro lines and expressways should realize "synchronous planning, design, construction and opening" in their construction of mobile communication facilities.
