China Mobile launched the 2020 main equipment purchasing announcement of its 2nd phase 5G wireless yesterday, covering 28 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. According to C114, a professional telecommunications news website, the total demand reaches 232143 stations.
It is reported that China Mobile has finished its first phase of 5G building to a full scale and has achieved the 5G commercialization in 50 cities. This second phase equipment purchasing aims at reaching the goal of building 300,000 5G base stations by the end of 2020, so as to ensure all cities at or above prefectural level in China could have access to 5G commercial services in 2020.
