The MIIT issued the Regulations on Number Portability Service, which will be implemented on December 1st, 2019.
The Regulations specifies that, during the number portability service, operators of telecommunication service shall not refuse, stop or delay to provide the number portability service for users without probable reasons, interfere with the options of users after they apply for number portability, take technical measures such as interception and restriction to affect the communications service quality of number portability users, compile special billing schemes and marketing schemes for number portability users.
