Shanghai launched nearly 12,000 5G base stations

According to statistics released by Shanghai Communications Administration at the launching ceremony of the commercial 5G in Shanghai, 11,895 5G stations have been set up in Shanghai by mid-October, covering the outdoor space of the core areas, including the downtown, the Hongqiao Business District, the new area of the free trade zone. Efforts would be stepped up to cover all areas within the outer-ring road by the end of 2019.
