China (Hangzhou) New Internet Exchange Center Officially Opened

On June 30, China (Hangzhou) New Internet Exchange Center was officially opened. On the same day, Zhejiang New Internet Exchange Center Co., Ltd., which was jointly owned by China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Alibaba, Netease, etc., officially opened and began operating.

The birth of the center, another national key Internet infrastructure, can improve the network foundation for the Internet development and innovation of China. It is also a critical part of the inter network infrastructure.

The new Internet exchange center is superior to the traditional exchange centers, mainly because the new Internet exchange center is a fundamental platform for interconnect different types of Internet enterprises. In the past, enterprises with Internet traffic exchange demand have to deploy servers in operators, purchase network bandwidth resources and pay cross-network fees. After accessing the new Internet center, enterprises can choose services provided by operators according to their port traffic and transmission speed.
